Summer

Namekagon River Canoe/Kayak Trips- The Namekagon River,a nationally protected waterway, is a narrow, twisting river that is perfect for navigating by canoe or kayak. We offer canoe or kayak trips complete with shuttle and equipment to and from a variety of landings. Namekagon River Trips

Namekagon River Tubing Trips- We offer tube rentals and transportation for trip that vary in length from 1.5 hours to all day floats. “Cooler tubes” can be rented as well to take your snacks or beverages along with you on your leisurely trip. Namekagon River Trips

Mountain Biking- Heartwood has a fleet of front suspension mountain bikes available for rent to explore our trails or bring along your own.

Basketball- Heartwood has 6 outdoor basketball hoops for you to work on your game. HORSE anyone?

Tennis- Heartwood has two tennis courts located across from the Eagle Lodge. Ask at the front desk to use our rackets and tennis balls.

Horseshoes- Heartwood has two horseshoe pits located behind the basketball courts.

Sand Volleyball- Two courts await your team challenge. Soft sand makes the landings more tolerable, so go ahead and throw yourself at that ball like the pros do.

Boating- Heartwood offers canoes, kayaks, and rowboats for use on Hoinville Lake on first come first served basis. Paddles and PFD's are available.

Fishing – Hoinville Lake contains Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, Sunnies and Bluegill. Fishing Equipment and supplies are available. A Wisconsin fishing license is required. Heartwood encourages catch and release fishing (live bait is not available).

Hiking- Heartwood offers over 20 kilometers of trails to hike on.

Hay rides- Our hay wagon can hold 20 people. Try combining a hay ride with a lunch on the trails or enjoy a sunset ride. Activity Rate Sheet

Swimming beach- Our beach area has a roped off area for the kids and a water trampoline in the deeper water. We also keep a limited supply of inner tubes at the beach. Cool off on a hot summer day.

Games for outdoors and in- You may check out various outdoor games: bocce ball, ladder golf, bean bag toss, or croquet. Need some indoor fun? There are a selection of board games available as well.

Winter

Cross Country Skiing- With over 20 kilometers of trails available, you are sure to find a trail to your liking. Our scenic trails have been home to the Wisconsin State High School Championships, and have to be experienced to be believed. Activity Rate Sheet

Snowshoeing- Heartwood has rentals available. Try our snow specific trails. Activity Rate Sheet

Snow tubing/sliding- Heartwood has a sliding hill located near the soccer field. Bring your own sled or tube or ask at the front desk to use one of our snow tubes.

Broomball- Our court has sticks for ten players. Play during the day or under the lights at night.

Ice Skating- The skating rink is lit for night skating. Please bring your own skates as Heartwood does not have rentals available.

Ice Fishing- Hoinville Lake contains Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, Sunnies and Bluegill. A Wisconsin fishing license is required. Heartwood encourages catch and release fishing.

All Year Round

Hot tub- Heartwood has a ten person hot tub for our hotel guests to enjoy. (For the safety of our guests, the hot tub will be closed if the temperature is below zero)

Exercise room- Our hotel guests enjoy access to our exercise rooms which is located in the lower level of the hotel wings and includes a treadmill, elliptical machine and an exercise bicycle.

Ping-pong- Heartwood has a table located in the Chalet.

Billiards- Check at the Front Desk for availability.
